WHAT HOSPO DOES.
- Hospo is a marketplace that connects London venues with vetted, self-employed hospitality staff for shifts at short notice.
- Venues book anything from seven days ahead to two hours before a shift starts.
- Hospo supplies bartenders, cocktail bartenders, barbacks, and waitstaff.
- Everything runs on WhatsApp, so there is no app to download.
- Every freelancer is interviewed and vetted before their first shift: experience, references, and the right to work in the UK.
- One all-in price per shift, shown before you commit. It covers the freelancer's pay and Hospo's fee. Freelancers are never paid less than the London Living Wage. No subscription, no retainer, and you only pay for shifts we fill.
Hospo is the trading name of hospo.work ltd, registered in England and Wales in March 2026, company number 17067411.
Despite our company name, we do not own the web address hospo.work and have no connection with any website or business that uses it. Hospo’s only website is hospo.ltd, and all our email addresses end in @hospo.ltd.

I'm Tom, and I founded Hospo. I've spent several years working in hospitality, mostly in bars in Cardiff, London, and Tokyo.
When someone drops out at short notice, most managers do the same thing: message everyone they know, post in a WhatsApp group, and hope someone says yes. I started Hospo because venues need a more reliable way to get good people at short notice. I set it up as a company in March 2026, and it has grown steadily since.
Most of my time goes on speaking to and vetting our freelancers, and getting to know the bars and managers we work with. If we can't find cover for a shift, I sometimes work it myself.
